Series History
So far this season, the Thunder is 1-1 against the Timberwolves (1-0 at home, 0-1 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-9)
OKC has won 8 of their last 9 games, each being by at least 12 points. That one loss was against the Timberwolves in Minnesota on the final night before the All-Star Break. OKC is rested and as healthy as they have been all season, and with Rudy Gobert out yet again for Minnesota, the Thunder needs to take care of business and win this one before they have to take on the Timberwolves again tomorrow in OKC. I expect the Thunder to win, but I do expect it to be a single-digit game, so I’m taking the Timberwolves to cover the spread.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (227.5)
6 of the last 7 meetings between these two teams have had a point total of 222 or less. I think tonight’s matchup is going to be a similar situation. Even with Gobert out, Minnesota is a solid defensive team, and they’ve given OKC fits at times. Both sides are going to have to work hard for buckets.
