Why the Thunder Will Cover (-8.5)
OKC hasn’t lost a lot of games this season, but when they do, they recover well. The Thunder has lost back-to-back games just once, and they tend to come out with a little extra after a loss, often blowing teams out by 20+. I don’t think they beat the Lakers that badly, but I do believe OKC sneaks over the line to cover the spread.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (230.5)
OKC’s offense sputtered against Houston on Friday, but that was more the exception than the rule. I think they will get back on track today and hit some key shots in front of the home crowd, but I also believe the Lakers will keep the game close for a good portion of it, so I’m expecting a higher-scoring game.
