Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-15.5)
This is just too many points for me. The Wizards have the worst defense in the NBA so far, but OKC has shot worse than any other team from downtown. I do think the Thunder uses this game as an opportunity to improve their % from three, and they should win by double digits, but I won’t be surprised if Washington just barely covers this spread late in the game.
Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (231.5)
Despite OKC’s offensive woes, the defense has been pretty solid. Despite playing in two double-overtime games to start the season, the Thunder allows just 110.8 points per game, 5th in the league. I think OKC keeps Washington around that number, keeping the game total down.
