Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #68 Preview: Minnesota Timberwolves

The Oklahoma City Thunder puts its 7-game win streak on the line on Sunday afternoon as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves for a noon tip-off on national television. OKC has had a run of close games, with 6 of those 7 wins decided by an average of 6 points. This one is likely to be yet another decision finalized in the last few minutes of the game.

Isaiah Hartenstein is listed as questionable after missing the last 3 games with a calf contusion, and Anthony Edwards is questionable with knee soreness. I’m not convinced that IHart will play, but I’d be surprised if Ant-Man missed an opportunity to play one of his biggest rivals. Either way, any time these two teams meet, excitement follows.

5 of the last 7 regular season meetings between these two teams were decided by single digits, and Minnesota holds a 2-1 advantage over OKC so far this season. The Thunder has dealt with far more injuries than the Timberwolves, though, and that’s the case again in this one. Still, OKC continues to win games at less than full strength. If the Thunder can pick up a win in this one before heading out on a 5-game win streak, they’ll be that much closer to the league’s best record for the top overall seed in the playoffs.
