Why the Thunder Will Cover (-15.5)

OKC isn’t just the better team in this matchup; they are clearly, unequivocally, without argument superior to the Lakers in basically every facet of the game. The Thunder SHOULD dominate again, and SHOULD cover this giant spread again. With that being said, it’s the Playoffs, AND it’s the Lakers we’re talking about, so it wouldn’t be crazy to see something abnormal take place. Following the outcome of Game 1, I don’t see many adjustments that can be made to bring about a different ending, so I like OKC to cover once again.

Why the Game Will Hit the Over (210.5)

I’m a big believer in the Thunder’s defensive abilities, so limiting the Lakers’ scoring should still be the primary focus for OKC. Still, I think LA looks a little more prepared on offense after making some adjustments from Game 1. Also, I expect a big game from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, which will open up the Thunder offense as a whole. That means more points for OKC. Don’t be surprised if the point total creeps towards 220, even if the Thunder blows the game wide open once again.
