Why the Thunder Will Cover (-11.5)

Both the Thunder and the Wizards are playing in the second game of a back-to-back, and both had to travel to OKC from their game locations last night. OKC is a double-digit spread in this one, but the Wizards haven’t been terrible so far this season. If Anthony Davis (sprained ankle) doesn’t play, I feel really good about the Thunder covering. Even if he does play, I’m still taking OKC to cover because they’re at home on a Saturday night, and that’s enough to convince me.

Why the Game Will Hit the Over (224.5)

I can’t decide if I expect shots to be short due to fatigue from playing in the second game of a back-to-back or if the game will be higher-scoring because defenses will be tired from playing in the second game of a back-to-back. Maybe neither. Still, OKC’s offense is looking better every day, but the defense still has spells of letdowns. All of that, on top of my expectation that the Thunder cover the spread, leads me to believe the score will go over the line.
