The Oklahoma State Cowboys made history last weekend in several ways, and as bad as fans felt following the Tulsa loss in Week 1, the season is looking a lot more hopeful after the 39-31 victory over #6 Oregon in Week 2. After an embarrassing 24-10 loss to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the season opener last week, Oklahoma State entered the weekend on a 12-game losing streak and with a sour taste in their mouths. The #6 Oregon Ducks were more than a 3-touchdown favorite by the time the teams finally kicked off around 12:30 PM after a weather delay, but the Cowboys came out ready to play.

After back-to-back losing seasons, including arguably the worst season in school history last year, the Cowboys were supposed to turn the corner and get back on the winning track behind new head coach Eric Morris and a load of talented transfers. Quite the opposite happened in the season opener for Oklahoma State as they dropped a 24-10 decision on the road against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
