Oklahoma’s Season Comes To A Close With Second Loss In Tallahassee

Oklahoma got off to a good start Monday afternoon in Tallahassee but they were eventually overtaken by a Mississippi State team that’s riding a high wave of momentum.

For the first time since they arrived to Tallahassee Oklahoma walked off the field having lost a game. Mississippi State worked their way back from the loser’s bracket, eliminating Florida State and Samford, to pound the Sooners 13-5. Still though OU is just one win away from advancing to a Super Regional.

Things couldn’t have gone better for Oklahoma Baseball on Saturday…well, except for maybe the weather. In the early game of Saturday’s session the host team, Florida State, was eliminated by a dramatic 3-run, 2-out, walk-off home run. Then in the late (much later due to weather) game the Sooners took to the inside track of advancing to the Super Regional by downing Samford 4-0.
