Earlier this year, ESPN had experts vote on thousands of matchups to see who was in the top 100 players of all time. When voting, the experts took into consideration peak performance and career value. Russell Westbrook was on the list as the 49th greatest player of all time. He was listed one spot ahead of Ray Allen and Willis Read. There is no doubt that Westbrook was the most controversial players on the list. It was so controversial that five ESPN analyst spent an entire segment on the roundtable to talk about it.
What do you think Thunder nation? Should Westbrook be considered to be in the top 50 players of all time? One could argue that the point guard hasn’t done enough at this point in his career to be at the 49th spot. However, I think we can all agree that he will find his way comfortably into the top 50 by the end of his career.
