Just a few hours prior to July 1, the day that Thunder fans hope and expect Russell Westbrook to sign an extension that will keep him in Oklahoma City for the foreseeable future, Sam Presti has once again worked his magic.
Sources: Indiana has completed trade of Paul George to Oklahoma City for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.

In a trade with the Indiana Pacers, four-time NBA All-Star Paul George will join Russell Westbrook in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis. Other details have yet to be released.
The only downside to Paul George joining the Thunder is that Oklahoma City only has one year to persuade him to stay, as his contract expires at the end of the season. However, if Russell Westbrook and Co. are able to make it a memorable year, perhaps George will not require much convincing.
The trade also sends a clear message to Russell Westbrook: help is on the way. Without a doubt, Westbrook should enthusiastically be prepared to sign an extension, and the Thunder will be well on their way to finding themselves among the NBA’s greatest once again.
