Notre Dame (-18) vs Florida State | The Fighting Irish are playing the role of spoiler for a couple of Power 5 conference members. Facing a struggling Seminole team, there’s no chance of an upset in my opinion. Continuing the run the ball exceptionally well, ND will control the clock and scoreboard.
Miss St. (+24) vs Alabama | Some may take exception to this statement but I believe MSU fields the best defense the Crimson Tide will face thus far. With the ability to run the ball, the question I’m asking is how long can the Bulldogs make Alabama uncomfortable? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t see the Tide falling to their opponent this weekend but it won’t be a 24 point win.
Washington St (-6.5) vs Colorado | In a conference where the only thing on the line is a league championship, it’s hard to find interest. Yet, it’s still WSU’s title to lose and Colorado isn’t going to stop them.
Fresno State at Boise State (+2.5) | I like the Broncos at home in this one. I think Boise State’s played a slightly tougher schedule so far, and that will help push them over the edge in this one.
Ohio State (-3.5) at Michigan State | I’m not even sure how Sparty is still ranked as a top-20 team. They had a nice win against Penn State, and they didn’t get completely destroyed by Michigan, but that’s about all they’ve got on their resume. Ohio State, meanwhile, has looked pretty consistent, even in the drama surrounding the football team. I’ve got the Buckeyes by 2 touchdowns.
Oklahoma State at Oklahoma (-20.0) | I try to stay away from the in-state teams for a couple of reasons. Specifically, I NEVER try to pick a game involving my team (Oklahoma State). However, in 19 season as a Cowboy fan, I have never lacked excitement for Bedlam. Until now. The Sooners should win this one by at least 5 touchdowns.
Washington State -6 at Colorado | Washington State continues to get no respect. I understand they are playing on the road, but this team is far more talented than Colorado. I’ll take the Cougars by at least a touchdown any day of the week.
West Virginia – 11.5 vs. TCU | The Mountaineers looked good after bouncing back from a loss. I expect West Virginia to keep it rolling this weekend. Plus, TCU has been this awful this season. I’ll take the Mountaineers to win big.
LSU -13.5 at Arkansas | I believe the Tigers are going to come out swinging Saturday after being shut out last weekend. Arkansas is the far less talented team, and I’m afraid they’re going to get embarrassed. LSU wins this one big!
Fresno State (-2.5) at Boise State (Friday Night Special) | The difference in this game is defense. Both offenses are fairly equal with an average of 38 points per game but the Bulldogs are allowing ten fewer points per game. I like the Bulldogs by about a touchdown on the smurf turf.
Wisconsin (+9) at Penn State | I’m officially putting Penn State on upset alert this weekend. This game will be extremely close. Close enough for me to confidently take the Badgers getting nine points.
Baylor (+17) at Iowa State | Nope, I’m not calling for the upset here. I am, however, expecting this game to be within two touchdowns.
