Memphis is always a nice place to visit, regardless of the time of year. You just can’t out-weather great BBQ, Graceland is an incredible place to visit, and life along the Mighty Mississippi always seems a bit tranquil.
As Oklahoma State awaits their bowl destination, it may be a good idea for members of the orange and black fanbase to brush up on hot spots to spend New Year’s Eve in Memphis. One of the most likely destinations for the Cowboys is Memorial Stadium for the Liberty Bowl.
The Liberty Bowl would match OSU against an S.E.C. opponent, with Auburn, Missouri, or Texas A&M as likely opponents. The Cowboys finished the regular season with a frustrating 6-6 record. Recording wins over Top 10 opponents Texas & West Virginia, as well as playing Oklahoma to within a point, but dropping games to every one of the lower-tier conference teams, except for Kansas, left many fans wondering what the true identity of this team really is.
Other potential bowl destinations for Oklahoma State could be the Armed Forces Bowl (vs. Army in Ft. Worth), Academy Sports & Outdoors Bowl (vs. SEC in Houston), or the Cheez-It Bowl (vs. Pac-12 in Phoenix).
Can you imagine how much fun the Cheeze-It Bowl commercials would be?
