Thunder Signs Deonte Burton to Full Contract

Zachary Low

The Oklahoma City Thunder made a move on Sunday that pretty much every Thunder fan can approve of when they signed two-way player rookie Deonte Burton to a multi-year full NBA contract.

Burton has appeared in 23 games for the Thunder so far averaging 3.1 points on 43.9% from the field and 33.3% from three along with a rebound in just 8.7 minutes per game.

While his numbers aren’t anything to gawk at, the level of energy that he brings each time he steps onto the court is enough to understand why the organization has signed him to a full contract and why he’s a fan favorite already. Burton is a consummate professional who is ready to go every time his name is called, and he is almost a guaranteed lock for some type of highlight reel play.
