Saturday night’s win over Oregon State…

• Gave Oklahoma State three straight over Pac-12 opponents and improved to 8-1 in the last nine games with Pac-12 teams.

• Improved Mike Gundy’s record vs. the Pac-12 to 10-3, with a 2-1 record in true road games.

• Improved Mike Gundy’s record in non-conference games to 50-11.

• Gave OSU 11 straight wins in non-conference games, matching the third longest streak in program history.

• Improved the Cowboys to 33-5 in its past 38 non-conference games.

• Improved OSU’s all-time record against teams in the Pac-12 to 34-37-1.

• Made Oklahoma State 6-0 all-time in season opening games against the Pac-12.

• Made the Cowboys 7-4 in the last 11 true road games and 17-6 in its past 23 true road games.

• Improved OSU to 72-41-5 in season openers and to 19-32-1 in away season openers.

• Improved Mike Gundy’s record in season openers on the road to 2-1 and his record in season openers away from Stillwater to 4-2.

• Chuba Hubbard finished with a career-high 221 rushing yards, marking the most for a Cowboys since Justice Hill ran for 228 vs. Oklahoma in 2017.

• Hubbard has rushed for at least 100 yards in four of his past five games.

• Oklahoma State has had a 100-yard rusher in 18 of its last 28 games.

• Tylan Wallace finished with 92 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He now has multiple receiving touchdowns in three of his past five games.

• With the exception of taking a knee to close the first half, Oklahoma State scored on each of its first seven possessions.

• Nine players made their first start in OSU uniform, including QB Spencer Sanders, WR Jordan McCray, OL Bryce Bray, DE Brock Martin, DE Tyler Lacy, DT Cameron Murray, DT Brendon Evers, LB Amen Ogbongbemiga and S Tre Sterling. Sanders, Bray and Lacy are redshirt freshmen; Martin, Evers and Sterling are sophomores; Murray and Ogbongbemiga are juniors; and McCray is a senior.

• More than half of OSU’s defense started for the first time in their careers, as six were first-time starters. By class, the OSU defense started one freshman, five sophomores, four juniors and one senior. The OSU offense started two freshmen, two sophomores, four juniors and three seniors.

• Sanders is the first freshman to start at QB for Oklahoma State since Mason Rudolph at Baylor in 2014. He’s also the first freshman QB to start the season opener since Wes Lunt in 2012.

• Fourteen redshirt or true freshmen played on Friday night.
