OKC Thunder | Steven Adams Ruled Out Against Portland

There’s bad news and there’s good news when it comes to Oklahoma City center Steven Adams. The bad news is that he will not be available when the Thunder take the court against Portland on Wednesday night. The good news is that the left knee contusion that is keeping him out doesn’t seem to be severe.

Adams was spotted lounging on the team bench during pregame with no brace, wrap, or tape around the knee. Any of those would have been an indicator of a more significant injury than just a contusion and their absence is an indicator that the Big Kiwi will be back on the floor sooner rather than later.

Through four games this season Adams is averaging 6 points and a team-high 11.8 rebounds in just over 27 minutes of playing time.
