Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma Football | Bedlam Rewind #2 – Brennan Clay Plows His Way To Victory

Note: Narrowing down top Bedlam moments is literally impossible to do. What we’ve decided to do is pick five special moments from games dating back to the 2010 season.

Setting Up The Play

When you think about Bedlam comebacks then 2012 has to be near the top of the list. All the Sooners did that day was come from behind. After trailing 17-3, Oklahoma tied the game 17-17 on 9-yard touchdown pass from Landry Jones to Jalen Saunders.

Oklahoma State regained the lead at 24-17 but Jones found Kenny Stills from 15 yards out to tie it up again. That would remain the theme of the day as the Sooners could draw even to the Cowboys but never move ahead.

Trailing 45-38, with just four seconds left on the clock, Blake Bell pulled the Sooners even one more time with a 4-yard plunge to send the game to overtime and set up Brennan Clay for his biggest moment as a Sooner.

The Sooners would travel to Ft. Worth the next week to beat TCU 24-17 and secure a share of the 2012 Big 12 championship.
