Oklahoma Baseball | Sooners Blast UAPB 13-2

Oklahoma pitchers struck out 21 while the Sooner batters plated 13 runs off 17 hits, that included five doubles and a triple, in route to a 13-2 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Capped by a 5-run third inning, the Sooners jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first four frames. They added single runs in the seventh and eighth innings to complete their offensive onslaught against the Golden Lions, while OU hurlers dominated from the mound.

Jake Bennett struck out nine batters in four innings of work to improve his season record to 2-0. He completely kept UAPB off the base paths by not allowing any hits or giving up any free passes. Ben Abram struck out four batters in two innings of relief. Braxton Webb struck out two, Carson Carter three, Christian Ruebeck three in an inning of work each.

Tanner Tredaway went 3-for-3 from the plate for the Sooners, with a team-high three RBI. Brady Lindsly equaled Tredaway’s three hits, with two RBI, to lead a total of five Oklahoma batters to record multiple hits in the game.

The Sooners (11-3) remain home this weekend to host San Diego State for a three-game series.
