Oklahoma Sooners

Sooners Are Targeting Speed And This Kid Certainly Has It

M. Hofeld

It’s uncertain yet exactly where Caleb Johnson would fit on Oklahoma’s football roster, but what is certain is that the Sooners want him. The 5-10/170 two-way player is seeing an uptick in his scholarship offers with OU coming through on Saturday…a day after LSU.

You would think that the Sooners and Tigers would both jump to the top of Johnson’s list that currently stands at 11 scholarship offers. 247Sports currently has his listed as a 3-star prospect and my bet is that he would excel more in Lincoln Riley’s offense where his 10.58/100-meter track speed could be put on display.

I’m not a big fan of making comparisons with high school players to the college level, but you can see this kid taking on a role similar to Marquise Brown for the Sooners.
