Sooners Gaining Traction With 4-Star Portland Defensive End

Freakishly athletic! That is an accurate description of Portland, Oregon (Jefferson High School) defensive end Nathan Rawlings-Kibonge. The 6-7/240 two-sport star released his Top 8 last Sunday and not only are the Sooners included, they are making traction.

Oklahoma and Miami were the only two non-Pac 12 schools in the Top 8 but according to some recruiting experts the decision looks to be narrowed down to either Arizona State or Oklahoma. The crystal ball predictions for 247Sports reflect that as well with both the Sooners and Sun Devils holding a 50% chance.

Oklahoma offered Rawlings-Kibonge in February and have seemingly gained momentum with him since. He’s a great fit for Oklahoma’s Speed Defense because he possesses just that…speed. The true measure of his talent though can be found in the fact that he’s only played one season of high school football and is listed as a 4-star recruit holding over a dozen FBS football offers.
