Has it reached the point where receivers are now recruiting Oklahoma? I ask that with a ton of sarcasm but there’s also a strong dose of reality to it. The Sooners already have 2021 receiver commitments from 4-star Cody Jackson and 5-star speedster Mario Williams. They are also on a host of final lists including guys like Christian Leary and Emeka Egbuka. We can now add 4-star Flower Mound, Texas (Marcus High School) J.Michael Sturdivant to that list.
A 6-2/183 prospect who is ranked by 247Sports as the #11 receiver prospect in the nation and the #14 overall prospect from the state of Texas, Sturdivant has earned 34 scholarship offers. On Saturday evening he narrowed that count down to just four with Oklahoma included.
As a junior in 2019 Sturdivant caught 87 passes for 1,125 yards and 10 scores. It’s important to note that his high school quarterback Garrett Nussmeier is committed to LSU.
