This Week’s Picks
Craig
Memphis at Houston | I’m already loving this spread and with Houston playing at home it makes it even better.
Michigan State at Ohio State | I don’t see Michigan State walking away with the win here, but I do think they keep it close.
SMU at Cincinnati | I’ve been looking forward to this matchup for awhile. SMU is legit and can pose a real threat to Cincinnati.
Matt
Memphis at Houston | Houston clinched a spot in the AAC championship game last weekend and might just be in a spot to overlook a Memphis team that’s fighting for bowl eligibility. The Tiger defense is going to be the key factor here. After frustrating the vaunted SMU offense a couple of weeks ago they surrendered more than 500 yards to East Carolina last weekend.
San Diego State at UNLV | This spread actually scares me a bit because I think it’s spot on. That said, you gotta go with the Aztecs but don’t sleep on a Rebel defense that’s finding itself and playing the best football of the season so far.
Michigan State at Ohio State | This game has huge implications for the College Football Playoff Rankings. The Spartans can get back in the Top 4 win a win here and Ohio State could solidify it’s status as a Top 4 team with a win. Regardless of the X’s and O’s I can’t see this being a 20-point win on either side so that makes Michigan State the smart choice here.
Rich
San Diego State at UNLV | With the over/under set at 40.5, I believe the Aztecs will do most of the scoring. As a clear favorite, I’m surprised this line is holding at just over two scores in favor of San Diego State.
Baylor at Kansas State | After upsetting the Oklahoma Sooners, the Baylor Bears seem focused with a shot at the Big 12 Championship still up for grabs. While KSU has the longest active win streak in the league, it didn’t matter last week and it won’t matter this week for BU.
Michigan State at Ohio State | With Mel Tucker locked up, the Spartans can focus on the task at hand. Despite playing on the road, MSU brings one of the toughest roughest attacks in tow. It’s a tall task to slow down for sure. Still, tOSU is better on paper but not by 20 points in my humble opinion. Be on the lookout for MSU to limit the offensive possession of the Buckeyes by dominating the clock.
Zack
SMU at Cincinnati | Cincinnati just might be the real deal, and while I think they win this one, I’m taking the Mustangs to keep it to a single-digit deficit.
Nebraska at Wisconsin | Nebraska is bad. That’s enough for Wisconsin to win by a couple touchdowns.
Iowa State at Oklahoma | The Sooners will bounce back. Mark my words.
