Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-9.5)
I’m a big fan that the expectations for the Oklahoma City Thunder have finally risen to a level that’s worthy of attention across the league. The Thunder is playing with a lot of excitement, and while Mark Daigneault is still working through lineup rotations, it’s pretty obvious that they’re going to be very good very soon. On the other side of the court tonight, the Spurs are still very much in the early stages of their rebuild. No matter how good Victor Wembanyama is, he’s not going to be able to do enough to carry this team just yet.
OKC is trending up, San Antonio is still mingling towards the bottom, but I still don’t see the Thunder winning this one by double digits, so I’m taking the Spurs to cover the spread.
Why the Game Will Hit NOT the Over (237)
This point total is too big. Even with OKC’s high-scoring offense going against San Antonio’s pathetic defense which is currently allowing the most points in the entire league, I have a hard seeing this one going this high. I’m taking the under on the point total.
