Thunder Against the Spread | OKC Hosts Spurs as Home Favorite in Christmas Day Grudge Match

The Spurs have not only covered the spread twice against the Thunder in the last 2 weeks, but they have outright beaten them, and it wasn’t exactly close a couple of days ago. San Antonio has played the aggressor, while OKC has looked far too passive in the previous meetings, but I don’t see that happening again, especially in front of the home crowd on Christmas Day. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander won’t be the only player in a Thunder uniform to have a big game this time. I think Jalen Williams reminds everyone why he’s one of the best 2nd options in the league, and Chet Holmgren proves he’s a worthy rival for Victor Wembanyama.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Looking Back at Quotes from the NBCA’s Coach of the Year Mark Daigneault

Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault was announced as the NBA Coaches Association NBA Coach of the Year on Monday. The award is voted upon by the league’s 30 head coaches, and while he wasn’t the only coach to receive votes, it’s safe to say he was clearly deserving of the award of turning the Thunder into the youngest team in NBA history to secure a 1 seed just a year after losing in the second play-in game.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #34 Preview: Brooklyn Nets

OKC looks to get back on track on Friday night as they continue their road trip with a stop in Brooklyn against the Nets. The Thunder hosted the Nets on New Year’s Eve, and after getting off to a slow start, they handled Brooklyn just fine to come out on top 124-108. Brooklyn’s struggles have continued as they have suffered double-digit defeats to the New Orleans Pelicans and Houston Rockets since then, so they are going to try to break their 5-game losing streak by getting a win in front of the home crowd.

Thunder Against the Spread | OKC a Near Double-Digit Favorite at Home Against Spurs

OKC is trending up, San Antonio is still mingling towards the bottom, but I still don’t see the Thunder winning this one by double digits, so I’m taking the Spurs to cover the spread.

The Thunder Lowdown | Game #42: Short-Handed Thunder Gives Houston 20th Consecutive Loss

OKC was hot from downtown at different points during the matchup, but in the end, it was a defensive stop from Luguentz Dort that saved the day as the Thunder handed the Rockets a 114-112 loss, Houston’s 20th in a row.

OKC Thunder | Game #28 Preview: Grizzlies

Tonight, the Thunder is on the road as they take on the Memphis Grizzlies, who were utterly embarrassed last night in a 144-113 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Like the Thunder, the Grizzlies have been dealing with their own litany of injuries.

The Thunder Lowdown | Game 2: Thunder Falls Just Short Against Jazz

Despite OKC leading for a lot of the game, the Jazz were able to knock off the Thunder in Oklahoma City 110-109 thanks to a go-ahead bucket by Donovan Mitchell with 7.0 seconds left on the clock. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was unable to be the hero for a second consecutive game as he missed a layup at the buzzer, but OKC proved yet again that, despite “tanking” being on everyone’s minds, the Thunder is going to be competitive this season.
