Zion Kearney is the third highest ranked player in Oklahoma’s 2024 recruiting class and he looks to be on track to be a special part of OU’s future. The 6-2/210 receiver from Missouri City, Texas is the #15 ranked receiver in the class and the #13 overall prospect from the state of Texas.
His team, Ft. Bend Hightower, fell in the 6A Playoffs on Saturday, losing a nail biter to Summer Creek by a final score of 35-31, but in that game Kearney flashed glimpses of what fans in Norman could be expecting. He broke free on a 53-yard score and then celebrated in the end zone with his future position coach in Oklahoma receivers coach Emmett Jones.
Kearney has been committed to Oklahoma since April 27. He has 34 scholarship offers and picked the Sooners over the likes of Arkansas, Kansas State, LSU, Oregon, among others.
