Series History
The Thunder are 2-0 against the Phoenix Suns so far this season (0-0 at home, 2-0 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (+2)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is doubtful to play due to a quad contusion, and without him, the Thunder absolutely should not win this game. The Suns are already a tough opponent on paper, even if they haven’t played up to a high standard so far this season, but they have won 4 of their last 5, which includes a solid 104-97 victory over the Denver Nuggets on the road on Wednesday. Unless SGA ends up playing, OKC shouldn’t win this game…that doesn’t mean they can’t, but I’m going to take Phoenix for now.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (225.5)
Even without Shai, the Thunder can put points on the scoreboard, and Phoenix absolutely has the capability to put up big numbers on any given night. I do think this will be a relatively close game with both teams scoring closer to their averages, which would push the total easily into the 230s, so give me the over on this one.
