Why the Thunder Will Cover (-5.5)

Both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams are listed as questionable on today’s injury report with some minor ailments, but based on the spread, I would expect them to play. There was word that Joel Embiid might make his return tonight after missing the last two months with a meniscus injury, but he is still listed as out. That could change, but he would likely be on a minutes restriction even if he did. Lastly, Tyrese Maxey is listed as questionable for the Sixers, so Philly is far from healthy. Because of the way both teams have been playing lately, I’m inclined to say OKC should be able to get a win before heading to Boston tomorrow night, but it could be difficult to cover the spread. Still, I’m going to go ahead and take the Thunder to cover.

Why the Game Will Hit the Over (225.5)

Both OKC and Philly play some solid defense at times, but depending on who is healthy for either team, the defensive dynamic can change drastically. As a result, I’m leaning towards a few more points being scored perhaps than could be expected, and I see the point total going over.
