Series History
The Thunder went 2-1 against the New Orleans Pelicans in the regular season series (0-1 at home, 2-0 on the road).
The Thunder are 2-0 in the playoffs against the New Orleans Pelicans (2-0 at home, 0-0 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will Cover (-1.5)
Home court advantage goes a long way in the playoffs, but I’m not sure New Orleans has enough of it to push the Pelicans over the edge. Game 2 looked a lot closer to what people expected in this series as opposed to Game 1, but that’s not to say the Pelicans should be overlooked. The Thunder need to take quality shots like they did on Wednesday, and as long as they stay out of foul trouble and stay locked in on defense, I have a hard time giving New Orleans a win.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (212)
The Thunder got their shooting back on track in Game 2, and it made all the difference. While I do think this one will be a little closer, I think it will be more because New Orleans manages to hit a few more shots, not because either team really struggles to score. It may be a little on the lower side—as has been the norm in this series—but I still see it going over.
