Why the Thunder Will Cover (-10)
I managed to lock in the Thunder at -9.5, but I do see this being a double-digit victory for OKC. They’re playing in front of what will be an extremely rowdy crowd coming out for the home opener, and while the Hawks are 2-0, they’ve been close victories against bad teams. OKC should open this one up early and maintain a solid lead to the end.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (229.5)
The Thunder has played ridiculous defense through their first two games, and while I think that continues against the Hawks tonight, I do think playing in the second game of a back-to-back while traveling from Chicago could play a little bit into the game, so I’m going to take the over on the point total.
