Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #58 Preview: Brooklyn Nets

The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered one of the worst meltdowns in the modern NBA on Monday when they gave away a 25-point fourth-quarter lead to the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, but they have an opportunity to get back on track Wednesday night as they kick off a 3-game road trip in Brooklyn against the Nets.

Brooklyn is on the outside looking in on the play-in in the Eastern Conference, and despite being just 1.5 games back of the 10th spot, they will be without at least 3 of their starters tonight against the Thunder. Cameron Johnson is questionable, so he may also sit out, and if that happens, the Nets will be missing their top 4 scorers.

Meanwhile, OKC is back to near full strength as Chet Holmgren returns to the starting lineup after a night of rest on Monday, and Isaiah Hartenstein isn’t even listed on the injury report after exiting early in the third quarter of the game on Monday. This is a great opportunity for the Thunder to remind the league just how good they are, and while Brooklyn isn’t exactly a formidable foe, OKC needs to take the game seriously and take care of the Nets early.
