Series History

So far this season, the Thunder is 1-0 against the Philadelphia 76ers (0-0 at home, 1-0 on the road).

Why the Thunder Will Cover (-11.5)

OKC is likely without 4 of their 5 starters—including MVP-candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander—with Chet Holmgren the only one expected to play, and Cason Wallace is also a question mark. Philadelphia is in an even worse situation, with half of their roster out due to injury. The Thunder have played well regardless of who is healthy, and their depth should be able to roll over this version of the Sixers with ease. Covering a double-digit spread like this will be difficult, but after the first real day off yesterday in quite some time, OKC should be well-rested and ready to go.

Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (226.5)

Regardless of who is playing for the Thunder, one thing is pretty consistent: defensive effort. It doesn’t really matter who makes it on the floor for OKC because whoever is out there is going to have to play defense, or they’re not going to last long. Quentin Grimes has been shouldering the offensive load for the 76ers amidst all the injuries, but he’s going to have to work for points tonight. OKC can score in bunches, but I’m cautiously taking the under on this point total.
