Week 15 Friday Locks: A Final Weekend to Settle It All

The final Friday Locks of the 2025 football season arrive with no breathing room left. After a combined 6–6 showing last week, the overall record now sits at 89–88–3, which makes this weekend more than just another slate — it’s the difference between closing in the black or limping across the line under .500. Every point, every spread, and every gut call matters now. And fittingly, the championship comes down to the final whistle. Craig (24–19–2) and Zack (24–20–1) enter the week as the top two in the standings, while Matt (22–23) sits within striking distance and Caleb (19–26) plays the defiant spoiler role. This is the week where reputations are protected — or permanently rewritten.

This card is united by conviction and divided by rivalry. All four are backing North Texas over Tulane in a coaching-exit showdown that leans heavily on betting against the Green Wave’s defense. The group also converges on the SEC title game as the week’s main battlefield — with Craig, Zack, and Caleb backing Georgia to avenge its lone loss, while Matt plants his flag on Alabama to repeat history. Craig and Zack split on the national stage as well, with Craig trusting Ohio State to roll Indiana, while Zack rides the Hoosiers to keep it close — or shock the country. Meanwhile, Matt and Caleb both turn to Texas Tech to handle BYU by a wide margin. One weekend. A dozen picks. And one last chance to finish on the right side of the ledger. The chase for the 2025 Friday Locks crown starts now.

Caleb

Texas Tech (-12.5) vs BYU – Tech dominated the last match up, and I do not expect this time to be any different. Tech’s defense was too much for BYU to handle last time and they’ve only gotten better.

North Texas (- 2.5) vs Tulane – While both coaches are out the door they still will have one last ride with their teams. North Texas has probably the most exciting freshman QBs and RBs in the country. I think Caleb Hawkins will be too much for the Green wave to handle.

Georgia (-2.5) vs Alabama – Georgia fell short the earlier in the season to Alabama. I expect Georgia to come out looking for revenge and take control of this game early.

Craig

North Texas (-1.5) at Tulane – I like North Texas in this matchup. Especially with head coach Eric Morris finishing out the season with the team. The Mean Green simply have the better quarterback and better offense.

Georgia (-2.5) at Alabama – Alabama handed Georgia their only loss of the season. But, I think the rematch will be much different. Georgia has looked like a completely different football team since the loss, meanwhile Alabama has been barely scraping by. I’m taking the Bulldogs to win the SEC Championship.

Ohio State (-4) vs Indiana – Ohio State has been the best team in college football all season long and that won’t change on championship weekend. Give me the Buckeyes to win by at least a touchdown in this one.

Matt

North Texas (-1.5) at Tulane – North Texas ranks 1st in the FBS in points per game at 46.8. Tulane’s defense ranks 121st in the FBS in passing yards allowed per game. That pretty much tells us what we need to know.

Texas Tech (-12.5) vs BYU – Texas Tech has been the best bet in college football this season, sporting an incredible 11-1 Against the Spread (ATS) record. Crucially, they are a perfect 9-0 ATS when favored by 12.5 points or more.

Alabama +2.5 vs. Georgia – Alabama is a staggering 4-0 all-time in the SEC Championship Game against Georgia, and they beat the Bulldogs earlier this season, 24-21, as underdogs in Athens.

Zack

North Texas (-2) at Tulane – The Mean Green have the better all-around team, so I’m taking them to win. It probably won’t be by much, but it should be enough to cover the small spread.

Indiana (+4.5) vs. Ohio State – I like the Hoosiers to cover and maybe even win this one. They’re both undefeated, but Indiana feels a bit more battle-tested.

Georgia (-2) vs. Alabama – The Crimson Tide won the first meeting, and it was a close one. It’s really difficult to beat a good team twice like that, so I’m taking Georgia.
