The Oklahoma City Thunder battled closely with the Memphis Grizzlies for the majority of the game before taking over late to cruise down the stretch before an eventual 119-103 win. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander notched his 100th consecutive 20-point scoring game, and despite Memphis knocking down 18 threes, the Grizzlies gave up 21 turnovers, which the Thunder turned into 31 points.
Tuesday night brings the second game of a back-to-back for the Thunder as they travel to San Antonio to take on the Spurs in a grudge match after a 2-point loss in the Cup Semifinal a little over a week ago. Victor Wembanyama is still on a minutes restriction, but OKC has been dealing with the injury bug for a while now. Several keys guys came off the injury report ahead of today’s game, though, as both teams will go to battle for the first of two meetings in just three days.
The Spurs are working their way into the contender conversation, and the Thunder has plenty to prove as doubts are beginning to creep in due to a couple of close losses, so tonight’s meeting should be yet another fun one.
