As things continue to get worse for football in the state of Oklahoma, more and more people are starting to look forward to basketball season. Luckily for those people, we are only 38 days away from seeing the Thunder orange and blue on the court.
The Thunder played the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs last season. In game one, Oklahoma City dominated by 38 points. The final score that night was 108-70 with Russell Westbrook leading all players in scoring with 24 points. The Brodie also led all players in assist with 11. Enes Kanter had a monster night on the boards with 13 rebounds. OKC would go on to beat the Mavericks in 5 games to move on to the next round of the playoffs.
The Thunder certainly still have the roster talent to put up these kind of victories this year. While I would not expect this to be a regular trend, I do think there are some large wins in store. It is even possible that we could see a win like this in the playoffs (could be wishful thinking).
