OKC Thunder Countdown to Tip-Off | 14 Days

We are officially just two weeks away from the start of the 2017-2018 Thunder season. In the meantime, the Thunder will continue to have pre-season games to keep us occupied. The next game will be on Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Last season the Thunder finished 14th in the NBA in steals per game. Steals are a very important aspect to the game. In theory, having multiple steals can even out the turnovers for a team. It’s always good to have a decent steal to turnover ratio.

I’ve stated before that defense will be a huge focus for this new Thunder team. The combined superstars will take care of the offensive end, but the defensive end will be where games are won. Whether or not these superstars want to put in the effort on the defensive end will be the big question.

Russell Westbrook and Andre Roberson led the way in steals a year ago. Adding an excellent defender in Paul George will surely increase the number of steals this season. If this team will put forth the effort, they could be a force to reckon with this season on defense.
