It’s chaos! Pure chaos! Make an argument for your team to be the top team in the Big 12 and someone else will almost surely have a better case. Iowa State has the two most impressive conference wins but they aren’t stocked full of talent like Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and TCU. The Sooners and Horned Frogs both lost to the Cyclones and the Cowboys lost to TCU. I don’t know, you tell me.
The No Love Award this week is going to Craig who has TCU ranked #3 in his poll…one spot behind Oklahoma State who they beat 44-31. Doubling down, he’s got Iowa State at #4 behind both Oklahoma and TCU.
That leads us to this week’s Homer Award where Craig has the Sooners at number one. The good news is that no one can hear Iowa State complaining because he has them buried down there at the #4 spot.
The Way Too Harsh Award belongs to Zack who has Kansas State at #8. Texas Tech is free falling at a frantic pace but Zack thinks the Wildcats could be a bit worse. Not sure how many people are going to agree with that.

The Sooners are back on top of the Big 12 rankings after TCU lost to Iowa State last week. The Cyclones are looking better and better each week and could be in the top 3 by the end of the season. The Pokes will have a chance to regain their thrown on top of the conference when they play the Sooners this week. It will certainly be interesting to see the rankings for next week.
There are only two teams without a conference win this year and one of them is guaranteed to have a win this weekend. The Baylor Bears and the Kansas Jayhawks will have an opportunity to find out who is the best of the worst.. In all seriousness, it could be a very good game.
Matt
Seriously, your guess is as good as mine at this point. The good news is that things will all play out over the next three weeks but right now you can’t look away from what Iowa State is doing. After that you could just draw straws this week for Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and TCU.
Baylor and Kansas are still at the bottom of the list and this weekend will finally determine who gets to remain in the cellar for the remainder of the season.
Week 10 Upset Watch: Keep making Iowa State a road underdog, and @JoanNiesen will just keep picking the Cyclones https://t.co/vzYwVmKKpf

Holding wins over two top ranked opponents, the Iowa State Cyclones are making waves in the college football world. Currently sitting at 4-1 in conference, a mid-season quarterback change could be the key factor. However, don’t sleep on this stingy defense. Playing complimentary football heading into November could punch ISU’s ticket to the Big 12 Championship Game.
Oklahoma still holds one of the most impressive wins in the country. Failing to produce a complete game at this point of the season is cause for concern though. Yet, just when it appears as though things are going south, adjustments are made. If the trend continues, this Sooner squad could be tough to match for four quarters despite the struggles.
Rounding out the top three is a matter of head-to-head pairings. It’s hard to ignore the fact that TCU downed the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater. It’s possible OSU is playing better football at this current juncture. But for now, I’m giving the nod to the Horned Frogs.
Zack
I thought for sure that the magical run by the Cyclones would end this last weekend, but they proved they are for real by knocking off the Horned Frogs at home, so they take over the top spot in the Big 12.
The Horned Frogs lost in Ames by a touchdown. In past years, that would be absolutely devastating, but not this season. The Cyclones are the real deal, so the loss only knocks TCU down a spot.
The Cowboys look slightly more impressive than the Sooners at this point in the season, so I’ve got them just barely ahead of Oklahoma headed into Bedlam.
The hits keep on coming, and the Bears stay winless. Maybe they’ll hit paydirt against the Jayhawks this weekend.
The Jayhawks came close in Lawrence against Kansas State, but another loss keeps them at the bottom.
