Oklahoma’s defense was on a different level against Oklahoma State in the 2020 Bedlam Game and David Ugwoegbu had a lot to do with that. The Sooners held the Cowboys to a season-low 13 points and just 78 rushing yards. Ugwoebu contributed five tackles to the cause but batting a pass in the air and then intercepting it was by far his best play that night.
The interception came on Oklahoma State’s second possession with the Sooners already leading 7-0. Four plays later Spencer Rattler found Theo Wease for a 9-yard score and the rout was on.
