Key Players

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been in a bit of a funk as of late but he still paces the Thunder with an average of 21.1 points per game. His 15-point performance against Houston on Wednesday night still wasn’t up to par with his standards but it was better than the 10 point night he had against Brooklyn.

Lu Dort has is having a monster November for the Thunder. His field goal percentage is up to 45.7% and he’s averaging 24.6 points per game over the last five games. Rookie Josh Giddy is dishing out an average of 5.9 assists per game this season.

Clearly when you’re talking about Milwaukee it’s Giannis Antetokounmpo who steps into the spotlight as the key player. Despite a slow start to the season for the Bucks, the Greek Freak is still dominating the competition to the tune of 28 points per night on 51% shooting from the floor. He’s also dishing out a team best 5.8 assists per game.

Most recently Antetokounmpo dropped 47 points on the Lakers in Wednesday’s 109-102 win.

Why The Thunder Will Cover (-12.5)

At just a glance this looks like a massive mismatch that doesn’t favor Oklahoma City but in reality these are two teams that have been on the same trajectory. They separated by just a game in their season records but the Thunder have performed better over the last ten games where they have a 6-4 record compared to Milwaukee’s 4-6 record.

The Bucks have been terrible against the spread this season as well. They’re just 1-5 against the spread at home and 1-4 as a home favorite. Compare that to the Thunder who are 8-6 against the spread this season and 7-5 following a day off.

Staff Picks

Why The Game Won’t Hit The Over (215.5)

The safest bet in the NBA right now is the under on a game that Oklahoma City is playing in. An even safer bet could be a game featuring the Thunder and the Bucks. Both teams have been awful against the over this season. Milwaukee is 0-6 against the over at home and Oklahoma City is 0-6 against the over on the road. That may be all you need to know about these teams and the trends for tonight.

On the season OKC is hitting the over just 21% of the time this season and the Bucks aren’t much better at 26%. Even the trends after a day off heavily favor the under. The Thunder are only hitting the over 16% of the time after a day off and Milwaukee 30% after an off day.
