Why the Thunder Will Cover (-5)
I knew that Wednesday’s matchup in Atlanta against the Hawks was a trap game, but I still expected OKC to pull out a win. Even after trailing by 16 with just a few minutes left in the game, the Thunder put themselves in a good position to force overtime at the least, and they very nearly did it. With that in mind, I think they come back in full force tonight after a solid day’s rest to pick up a second big win against Brooklyn in the last week.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (234)
As good as OKC’s defense is, they score so many points that they’re bound to give up plenty, too, so I think I’m done expecting any defensive battles out of them any time soon. Even in a loss against Atlanta, they still lit up the scoreboard, so I expect covering the point total tonight should be a pretty easy task for these teams.
