Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #40 Preview: LA Clippers

The Oklahoma City Thunder had yet another poor shooting night as they faced off against Los Angeles Lakers last night in LA. The result was a frustrating 112-105 loss as the Lakers took over in the fourth quarter, and OKC simply couldn’t keep up.

Now the Thunder faces the tall task of playing the LA Clippers in the second game of a back-to-back on the road. The Clippers have lost just 4 games since the start of December, picking up that fourth loss on Sunday night in Minnesota against the Timberwolves. They haven’t loss back-to-back games since doing so a month again when they lost to the Thunder in Oklahoma City before losing at home to the Boston Celtics.

While the Thunder could definitely hand the Clippers another loss in LA tonight, it seems more and more unlikely when you take into consideration that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is unlikely to be 100%. He was a gametime decision last night with a sprained left knee, and he never really seemed quite like himself as he struggled from the field (9-of-19 for 24 points). Still, OKC’s roster is full of young talent, and they tend to give the best teams in the league a run for their money, even on an off night.
