The Oklahoma City Thunder stumbled on Thursday night due to a rare miscue as they dropped a 132-118 decision in San Antonio agains the Spurs. The game was close until the last couple of minutes, but it’s hard to win on the road against anybody when you have one of your worst shooting nights of the season. Add to it that OKC’s defense was simply not what it usually is, and the league’s worst 3-point shooting team knocked down a ridiculous 19-for-38 from downtown, giving the Spurs just their 12th win of the season.
Two days of rest should do the Thunder well, however, as they continue their current road trip in Phoenix as they take on the Suns. Phoenix is fresh off a 118-109 loss to the Houston Rockets last night, and they’re dealing with a few minor ailments. Still, the Western Conference standings are especially tight as we enter the last quarter of the regular season, so expect a dog fight featuring some of the NBA’s top talents.
