Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #60 Preview: Phoenix Suns

Two days of rest should do the Thunder well, however, as they continue their current road trip in Phoenix as they take on the Suns. Phoenix is fresh off a 118-109 loss to the Houston Rockets last night, and they’re dealing with a few minor ailments. Still, the Western Conference standings are especially tight as we enter the last quarter of the regular season, so expect a dog fight featuring some of the NBA’s top talents.

Thunder Against the Spread | Take OKC to Cover at Phoenix

For just the fourth time all season, the Suns are an underdog in Phoenix, and there are several reasons why I like OKC to cover. For one, the Thunder is coming off two days of rest, while the Suns are playing in the second game of a back-to-back. OKC obviously covers more often than not after rest, but Phoenix is just 5-5 at covering the spread in SEGABABAs. Add to it that the Thunder is almost completely healthy while the Suns are dealing with a few minor injuries, and I like OKC’s odds to win and cover the spread.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #10 Preview: Phoenix Suns

Despite being one of the top three-point shooting teams in the league, the Oklahoma City Thunder managed to knock down just 7-of-30 attempts for a 23.3% rate. That’s well below their average, and while that wasn’t the only problem with that game, that was definitely one that stuck out. OKC now looks to get back on track as they wrap up a 2-game road trip with a visit to the Suns in Phoenix.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #32 Preview: Portland Trail Blazers

The two teams meet again in OKC Wednesday night, and I would expect another exciting back-and-forth matchup, especially if Josh Giddey (non-Covid illness) and Darius Bazley (non-Covid illness) are back for the Thunder and Jusuf Nurkic (right calf soreness) is back for the Blazers.

OKC Thunder | Game #49 Preview: Blazers

The Oklahoma City Thunder looked much more like the expected tanking team that they are last night as they suffered a scorching 140-103 loss to the Phoenix Suns. There is no rest for the weary, however, as tonight they travel all the way to Portland where they will take on the Portland Trail Blazers.

OKC Thunder | Game Preview #27: Blazers

Tonight, the Thunder hosts the Portland Trail Blazers, a team that has also been bitten by the injury bug. Without CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic, Damian Lillard has had to shoulder the load more so than normal, and as a result, Portland is 16-10 and sitting at 5th in the Western Conference.

Now the Thunder continues their 5-game road trip as they get ready to take on the Portland Trail Blazers (9-6). The Blazers are fresh off a 116-113 home victory over the New York Knicks, a game that was much closer than it should have been after the Blazers went into halftime with a 22-point lead.

The Thunder Lowdown | Game #15: Thunder Puts Up Valiant Effort in Another Loss to Clips At Staples

The Oklahoma City Thunder played the Los Angeles Clippers just two days ago, and the start of the second matchup looked eerily similar to the first one. The offense could not buy a bucket from downtown, going 0-for-9 from three, and the defense couldn’t come up with any real stops as LA jumped out to an early 17-point lead.

OKC Thunder | Game #17 Preview: Blazers

Tonight, the Thunder continues the West Coast trip as they take on the Portland Trail Blazers (6-12). The Blazers have been one of the most disappointing teams of the NBA so far, and they are still struggling to figure out their identity. They recently signed Carmelo Anthony, but they have yet to really put anything together.

Round 1, Game 4 Preview | Portland Trail Blazers

The Oklahoma City Thunder picked up a 120-108 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 3 in what many considered to be a must-win game. The Thunder needs to get another win at home tonight to even up the series before heading back to Game 5 in Portland.
