Series History
The Thunder went 3-1 against the Dallas Mavericks in the regular season series (2-0 at home, 1-1 on the road).
The Thunder are 2-2 against the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Semifinals so far (1-1 at home, 1-1 on the road).
Why the Thunder Will Cover (-4)
Pulling out a gutsy win in Game 4 gave the Thunder a ton of momentum, and entering the Paycom Center for Game 5 is only going to help their cause. OKC has had three awful shooting nights in a row, and it’s about time they swing back to their average. I’m taking the Thunder to narrowly cover the spread, but they will cover it all the same.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (213)
I probably sound like a broken record at this time, but these two teams are capable of scoring points in bunches, and if OKC can just hit some shots, this game is bound to go over on the point total. Dallas hasn’t really had a great offensive game, doing just enough to pull out their two wins, and you can say the same about OKC. Aside from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, nobody has really been a killer on the court as far as shooting the ball, but I would expect a couple of high-level offensive performances in Game 5 tonight.
