The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without Chet Holmgren for a long while after he took a hard fall early in the Thunder’s 127-116 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night. With a lack of depth in the frontcourt, the Thunder will have to play plenty of small ball for the time being, and they get their first challenge on Monday night as they host the LA Clippers.
The Thunder and Clippers meet for the second time this season just a little over a week after the first matchup, a 105-92 win for the Thunder in LA. The Clippers are still without Kawhi Leonard, but they have won 4 in a row behind the scoring of Norman Powell, who put up 24 points against the Thunder on November 2nd. With no Chet, OKC will need to slow down Ivica Zubac, a rebounding machine, but the Clippers will have to deal with the pace and depth of OKC’s backcourt, which should make for a fun matchup.
