Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #47 Preview: Sacramento Kings

The Oklahoma City Thunder dropped their third loss in the last 6 games on Wednesday night as they fell 116-109 on the road to the Golden State Warriors. Shots weren’t falling for the Thunder, the Warriors hit some crazy ones late, and despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander popping for 52 points—his second 50-point game in the last 4 games—OKC couldn’t get the job done. Now the Thunder looks to get back on track as they host the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.

The Kings enter this matchup following a 117-104 loss to the 76ers in Philadelphia on Wednesday. After getting off to a rough 13-19 start, Sacramento went on to win 10 of their next 11 games before losing 3 of their last 4 to get to 24-23 on the season. Sitting at 10th in the Western Conference, they’re barely in the Play-In spot, and they’re still trying to figure things out.

Oklahoma City has been one of the best teams at home all season, tied with Cleveland with only 3 losses each. The Thunder has also lost consecutive games just once this season. Considering these factors alongside what should be considered a strong matchup for OKC, the Thunder should be able to take care of business against the Kings, but a strong start to the game would go a long way in setting the tone for the evening.
