Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #22 Preview: Golden State Warriors

The Oklahoma City Thunder (20-1) finishes out a brief 2-game road trip in San Francisco on Tuesday night as they take on the Golden State Warriors (11-10). Both the Thunder and the Warriors are dealing with injuries to key players, but that’s nothing for the Thunder, as they have yet to play a game with the starting five from last season that led them to an NBA Finals Championship.

Isaiah Hartenstein is out for at least another week or so as he deals with a strained soleus in his right foot, but OKC will also be without Luguentz Dort (strained right adductor) and Alex Caruso (right quad soreness), trimming the normal rotation a bit. As for Golden State, the Warriors are without Stephen Curry (left quadriceps contusion), and Jimmy Butler (left gluteal contusion) is questionable.

When these two teams met a couple of weeks ago, it didn’t matter that Golden State was completely healthy, as the Thunder dominated the Warriors 126-102. Still, this is a new night and a new game, and it is being played on the road in San Francisco. OKC has consistently found ways to win, and regardless of who the Warriors have healthy, they shouldn’t be overlooked. The Thunder is really good about approaching each game with the same level of intensity, so as long as they can continue to do the things that they know how to do, they should be able to head home with yet another win.
