The Oklahoma City Thunder head out West for a brief 2-game road trip, beginning with a stop in San Francisco against the Golden State Warriors. OKC enters 2026 with a 3-game win streak and the best record in the NBA. Meanwhile, the Warriors have struggled to an 18-16 record, but they have won five of their last six games.

Thunder Against the Spread | OKC Now a Double-Digit Road Favorite Against Warriors With No Steph, Jimmy, or Draymond
I had Golden State covering the double-digit spread, but that was before Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler were ruled out alongside Draymond Green. This leaves the Warriors significantly hampered in what they can do on the offensive end, so barring an extremely poor performance by OKC, I see the Thunder covering easily.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (20-1) finishes out a brief 2-game road trip in San Francisco on Tuesday night as they take on the Golden State Warriors (11-10). Both the Thunder and the Warriors are dealing with injuries to key players, but that’s nothing for the Thunder, as they have yet to play a game with the starting five from last season that led them to an NBA Finals Championship.

OKC continues to deal with injuries to key players—Isaiah Hartenstein, Luguentz Dort, Alex Caruso are all out tonight—but the Warriors are missing Stephen Curry, and Jimmy Butler is questionable to play. The Thunder seems to find a way to win regardless of who is healthy, usually on the back of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but it’s not always easy. Even though the Warriors are without Curry, and especially if Butler can play, I think this will be a single-digit game when the final horn sounds.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors have plenty of history over the last decade, but they enter Tuesday night’s meeting in OKC under different circumstances. The Thunder defeated the Grizzlies in Memphis on Sunday night for their 10th win of the season, while the Warriors dominated a shorthanded Indiana Pacers squad to move to 6-5 so far.

The Warriors were supposed to be a legit contender in the West, but they have looked average so far. They are undefeated at home (5-0), but they have struggled on the road (1-5), with their only win coming against the Los Angeles Lakers in their first game of the season. I think OKC wins, and regardless of how close this one may be early, I see the Thunder pulling away before the end of the game, effectively covering the spread.

OKC gets a chance to extend their gap on Wednesday night as they host the Miami Heat. Miami is still dealing with the fallout of the Jimmy Butler trade, and adjustment has not been easy. Butler only played about half of Miami’s games before his trade, primarily due to suspensions, but with him gone, the Heat are definitely different moving forward.

The Oklahoma City Thunder led by as many as 23 early in the second half in Orlando on Thursday night, but the Magic didn’t go away quietly as they cut their deficit to 3 by the end of the third period and a couple more times early in the fourth quarter. OKC never relinquished the lead, though, as they held on to win 105-99. Now OKC takes on the Miami Heat in the second game of a back-to-back on the road.

The Oklahoma City Thunder survived a 128-120 decision against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday to wrap up a 4-game road trip with a 2-2 record. Currently the Thunder sits a half-game back from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference standings, but they have an opportunity to make movement tonight as they host the Miami Heat.
