Why the Thunder Will NOT Cover (-6.5)
This is right about where I had the spread in my mind, and as much as I want to take OKC to rebound from the Miami loss with a nice win in Cleveland, it’s hard to justify when the Cavs have very capable rebounders, and that’s what killed the Thunder against the Heat. OKC is better in the clutch, which is why I think a close game tips the Thunder’s direction, but I think Cleveland just barely covers the spread.
Why the Game Will Hit the Over (234.5)
Two of the league’s highest-scoring teams going head-to-head is likely to end in a lot of points. OKC followed up two incredible defensive performances with a mediocre one against Miami. The Cavs aren’t a great defensive team, but with their size, they are likely to hurt p the Thunder down low. I can see Cleveland going cold late, but I won’t be surprised if this point total goes north of 240, so I’m taking the over.
