Why the Thunder Will Cover (-9.5)

OKC has won 8 straight games—a streak which features 6 playoff teams—and they are looking to make it 9 against a surging Orlando squad. The Magic had won 7 in a row before getting crushed at home by the Atlanta Hawks last night. The Thunder benefits from a little more than a full day of rest after Sunday’s noon tip-off, so between that and the roster nearing full health, I like OKC to win big.

Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (222.5)

Oklahoma City’s defense has put on a master class during the current win streak, holding opponents to an average of 105.5 points per game. Remove the two wins against Denver, and that average drops all the way to 99.5 points per game. To put it plainly, the Thunder has fared ridiculously well defensively when they’re not taking on the league’s top offense. Orlando’s offense has been hot as of late, but they’ve played against quite a few weak defenses. I will not be surprised if we have another game that hits well below the point total.
