The Thunder has done all kinds of things to essentially avoid winning, but I’m not sure they’ll be able to do that tonight. Yes, the Magic won by 5 on Sunday, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was out, and I anticipate he will play tonight. I’m taking OKC to cover AND win the game, even if it does hurt draft lottery odds.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #73 Preview: Orlando Magic
It’s been just a few days, but the Oklahoma City Thunder and Orlando Magic are set to meet once again. In the first meeting, neither team had much going on the offensive side of the ball, and the result was an extremely low-scoring night. The Magic got the best of the Thunder with a 90-85 final score, and tonight, the two teams finish up the season series in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder is in familiar territory as a road dog, whereas the Magic are the favorite for just the seventh time this season. While Orlando has done a solid job at covering when the favorite (4-2), there’s no way I’m picking OKC to lose this game by 7+ points. A a matter a fact, I’m picking the Thunder to win outright.

Tonight, the Thunder hosts the Magic, who are one of the league’s few remaining undefeated teams at 3-0. The Magic have been a bit of a surprise so far, mostly because they do not have a true superstar. Nikola Vučević was an All-Star in 2019, but aside from that, they’re just a really solid team.

Tonight’s game features two of the best defensively rated teams in the NBA, and while both teams have struggled on offense, the Thunder has the more capable pieces. OKC is favored in the game, but as will likely be the case for the entire season, we shouldn’t count our Thunder chickens before they hatch.
