Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #39 Preview: Washington Wizards

Now the Thunder is set to host the Washington Wizards on Friday night. OKC defeated the Wizards in Washington last November off an incredible display from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, which included a game-winning three to seal the deal 121-120. Both teams are dealing with some injuries that will surely have an impact on the game.

Thunder Against the Spread | OKC as Road Dogs in Orlando Sounds Good

Since winning six games in a row, including back-to-back victories in Boston over the Celtics, the Orlando Magic has lost 4 of their last 6. The two wins came against Houston and San Antonio, two of the league’s worst teams, and the not a single loss came against a team with a winning record. Orlando is a slight favorite, likely because OKC is without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (non-Covid illness) and playing on a back-to-back, but I still think the Thunder can cover and win this one on the road against a depleted Magic team who is missing a chunk of guys due to suspension.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #38 Preview: Orlando Magic

Tonight the Thunder hits the road for a single game as they take on the Orlando Magic. The Thunder defeated the Magic 116-108 when the two teams met earlier this season in OKC, but Orlando was missing a chunk of their guys due to injury. The Magic will be without nearly half the team tonight, but most of them will be sitting due to being suspended for their involvement in a recent altercation with the Detroit Pistons.

Thunder Against the Spread | OKC Favored for the First Time This Season

Oklahoma City is playing really well right now during their 3-game win streak, especially when you consider that the 3 wins came against expected playoff teams (Clippers twice, Mavericks once). With that in mind, it just makes sense that they’re favored against the visiting Orlando Magic, who have just one win in 7 tries. Also, the Magic have a laundry list of key injuries, so they’re struggling right now.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #7 Preview: Orlando Magic

The Oklahoma City Thunder (3-3) is riding a 3-game win streak after defeating the Dallas Mavericks on the road on Saturday in a 117-111 overtime victory. The Thunder looks to continue their streak tonight as they host the Orlando Magic (1-6). The Magic are off to a rough start record-wise, but rookie Paolo Banchero has put up impressive numbers so far. OKC will need to focus on slowing him down if they want a chance for another win in front of the home crowd.

Thunder Against the Spread | Round 2 Against the Magic Will Have Different Results

The Thunder has done all kinds of things to essentially avoid winning, but I’m not sure they’ll be able to do that tonight. Yes, the Magic won by 5 on Sunday, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was out, and I anticipate he will play tonight. I’m taking OKC to cover AND win the game, even if it does hurt draft lottery odds.

Oklahoma City Thunder | Game #73 Preview: Orlando Magic

It’s been just a few days, but the Oklahoma City Thunder and Orlando Magic are set to meet once again. In the first meeting, neither team had much going on the offensive side of the ball, and the result was an extremely low-scoring night. The Magic got the best of the Thunder with a 90-85 final score, and tonight, the two teams finish up the season series in Oklahoma City.

Thunder Against the Spread | Tonight Might Be a Cover AND a Win for OKC

The Thunder is in familiar territory as a road dog, whereas the Magic are the favorite for just the seventh time this season. While Orlando has done a solid job at covering when the favorite (4-2), there’s no way I’m picking OKC to lose this game by 7+ points. A a matter a fact, I’m picking the Thunder to win outright.
