Why the Thunder Will Cover (-16)

Ajay Mitchell received a one-game suspension for his involvement in the scuffle with the Washington Wizards on Saturday, but Jalen Williams is back in action. On the other hand, the Sixers are missing their top three scorers—Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Paul George—which is why the Thunder is such a heavy favorite. OKC is at full strength for the first time in what seems like forever, and even though this is the fourth game in a five-game road trip, I like the Thunder to cover.

Why the Game Will NOT Hit the Over (226)

While I do expect a big win from the Thunder, I don’t think it will be a high-scoring game. OKC’s defense should be able to limit the Sixers on offense, even if VJ Edgecombe is one of the league’s top rookies. Philly is towards the bottom in the NBA in three-point shooting, and if the Sixers can’t hit shots from outside, they’re going to have a very difficult time putting points on the board.
